Now, it seems that many others have forgotten and that includes recruits. One recruit in particular, Austin Rivers who is committed to Duke.
For one, a rivalry is not created or diminished in one year. Secondly, to say it is not a rivalry is to bash one of the things his future school lives for. Third, if anybody could have said that it was North Carolina when they beat Duke four years in a row at Cameron.
Oh how soon they forget. But P.J. Hairston was not about to let him forget. You can go back and check the tweets, but Hairston basically reminded Rivers of the last four wins at Cameron.
Of course, we realize this is part of the good-natured rivalry, but I think sometimes people do not look past one season. Remember, to look at the programs as a whole. It is definitely a rivalry, and nobody, not even Austin Rivers, can take that away.
Both programs have been good for years, and will continue to dominate for years to come.
